No longer the leaders, but still unbeaten: FC Liverpool have lost their first points of the season. However, thanks to the late equaliser, the Klopp team could feel like the winner.
Liverpool FC have to give up their Premier League lead to Manchester City. But at least: Coach Jürgen Klopp’s football team saved a draw on the seventh matchday after being trailing FC Chelsea – the match ended 1-1 (1-0). Liverpool’s equaliser, Daniel Sturridge, was a spectacular goal from a distance just minutes after his 89th-minute substitution.
Liverpool are now level on points with City (19 points), but are in second place due to the poor goal ratio. Liverpool had previously celebrated six wins in six league games.

The top duel at Stamford Bridge was entertaining. Liverpool played more opportunities, but Chelsea were more efficient and took the lead: In the 25th minute, Mateo Kovacic gave his team-mate Eden Hazard a dreamy midfield pass, the Belgian sprinted away and scored free-standing from a sharp angle – 1-0. The 27-year-old is symbolic of Chelsea’s scoring ability: Hazard’s lead against the Reds was his sixth goal of the season – with eight shots on goal in the current season.
A faster pace, a stronger duel, a better playing field – Liverpool was the superior side before and after the deficit. A few minutes after the 1-0 draw, Mohamed Salah almost equalised, but Antonio Rüdiger clarified spectacularly on the line (33rd minute).
The second half was more even, Chelsea was even better at times and was lucky when substitute Xherdan Shaqiri narrowly missed the 1:1 (70th). Shortly afterwards David Luiz prevented an almost safe header goal from Roberto Firmino on the line. In the 89th minute, Sturridge’s big performance followed.
Also the Blues remain undefeated in the seventh league game under the new coach Maurizio Sarri. By the way: The 64th minute showed that Hazard does not use every chance. The attacking star striked freely towards the Liverpool goal and failed at a strong leg defense of Keeper Alisson Becker.
Manchester City had previously won 2-0 (1-0) against Brighton & Hove Albion to take the lead of the table. The German international Leroy Sané attracted attention with a goal. One of the newest online casino gaming site is the Fair Go.
