    so here I am sitting in the lobby of the vail Marriott typing this on my trusty iPhone. I've just spent 3days drinking grand marnier in every conceivable cocktail and met some very cool people. Leo degroff, jacques bezhuidenhout, willy shines, jimmy patrick,camper English and more. I'll get a full review up on my blog when I get in tonight. If anyone has any questions let me know.

    exactly none. Liquor stores in co are closed Sundays and vail didn't appear to have a liquor store.

    I'll get day one up on my blog today (I was a bit worn out last night). The one thing that really struck me is how much talent that we really have here in Oregon. We may not be as well known as Chicago or New York (and we don't have the sheer numbers of those cities), but what we are doing is as good as they are. I was really disappointed to be the only Oregonian there (there were 4 people from Seattle too I think). South Carolina, a state in which only airline bottles were allowed to be used until a few years ago, sent two representatives, and I believe Atlanta actually had the most people there. There is some great talent nationally, don't get me wrong, but now that I've seen and met a lot of these people, I'm convinced that Portland is right there at the top. We just lack the sheer volume of bartenders dedicated to the craft that a town like Chicago has.

    Reading them all, sounds like fun, other than the noted conversation regarding Vegas. (not only the best place to drink, but also the best place to "invest")
