I mean, if they can do it on a latte, why not a cocktail? I can already see liquor companies lining up to imprint their brand on top of a cocktail.
That said, I am tempted to give this a try.
Interesting idea.
The German responses were about whether you can get food safe ink put in the cartridge.
That was my thought too.
Lot's of posibilities considering the type of atmosphere the bar has.

I ate at Moto in Chicago, and the chef, Homeru Canut (a good Oregon boy btw) developed a soy based ink for the inkjet he uses.
Nifty, only problem is, looks like you need a layer of foam for it. Or possibly a "cocktail Bruleé".
There are systems which use food-safe ink for printing photos onto cakes and such. Wonder if there would be a way to print onto a sheet of something that would dissolve in alcohol, and hopefully leave the ink behind on the top of the drink?
Maybe a gelatin sheet? Or rice paper?
I'm intrigued enough by the concept that I'd like to try it. If anyone else is interested in helping, let me know.
I think you know where I stand on this.
"...save for Robert, I'm possibly the biggest computer geek in this bunch."
Jeff, I won't argue with Robert, given his employer, but as for second biggest computer geek, I think you might have to fight it out with myself, Blair, and Craig for the title.
And lord knows nobody wants to see a geek fight...
;-)
Ok, I've had enough of the molecular stuff. I'll admit to no longer having any interest in exploring this avenue. But I can just see some bad vodka company distributing inkjet printers to advertise their brand on cocktails.
I got nothing here
