    It hasn't been ignored by us locals that the New York Times travel and food sections have taken a shine to our fine corner of the country. And yet the attention we've received hasn't seemed to fade, even though it started in 2006.
    Let's use this thread to celebrate such mentions, and make sure that we keep each other up-to-date on the press any of us might receive.


    Most recently (i.e. today), in an article on "miracle berries", Lance (and Imbibe Magazine) and Beaker & Flask were mentioned. Congrats, Lance, Siobhan, Shoshana, Kevin!

    The pull quote from Lance, something I'm sure every bartender would like to hear,

    She was, like, "What did you do to my mouth?"

    I was proud to see my friends mentioned in that piece, and am proud that, as the Oregon Bartender's Guild, we can collectively help put Oregon on the forefront of bartending in this country.

    So let's all get out there and keep doing things to people's mouths!

    In the context of the article, that quote wasn't really a compliment, Lance.

    But, more importantly, when does Beaker & Flask open?
