Hey there folks,
I have the great honor of hosting the next Mixology Monday, on which the subject shall be Rum! That great and versatile spirit, from the light and crisp Puerto Rican whites, to the Dark and Smokey Demeraras, unaged to 30 year old plus. It was the demon that inspired prohibition, the wind in the sails of the British Royal Navy, the fuel of revolution, a spirit with the utmost of contributions to history, legend, and lore.
If anyone has anything to contribute, a unique cocktail, a recently acquired bottle, a take on a rum classic, or otherwise, let me know and/or post it here and I'll put up a post on the site combining the efforts placed here. Full due credits, links, et cetera.
Entries are due by 23:59 May 12th (though it ain't done 'til the wrap-up is posted).
Mahalo!
I've been waiting for this very topic for MxMo since I started submitting entries. It's a great thrill that someone so talented and deserving gets to host: A double fun proposal.
I have been preparing a special bumbo just for this occasion that I will bring out to celebrate the new logo, the new website, and RUM!
For those interested parties, here is the link to the MxMo Rum Wrap-Up.
Thanks to Craig, Jeffrey, Erik, Matthew, and Dr. Bamboo for participating. Of the 39 contributors, we had 4 representatives from Oregon, and 5 from Washington. Good Show Northwest!
Sadly, it was only after "sampling" the three drinks for my own submission that I thought of hitting Teardrop for a Dusk 'til Dawn. Oh, well.
I was buisy drinking 12 different piscos last night with Lance and Kelly, and forgot to shoot you my entry. I guess my Hemmingway varriation will have to wait.
