OK, so I admit it, I've never tasted Chartreuse before, and on a visit to Uptown Liquor found a half bottle of the green that didn't seem to be a complete budget-buster. Problem is, I have no idea what to do with it. I had a vague memory of a lot of unattempted cocktails calling for Chartreuse and now I can hardly find one. I did note Alyson's recommendation for a traditional 1:1:1 Tipperary here and have seen Gary Regan's version elsewhere, only rinsing the glass with the Chartreuse and changing proportions dramatically. Soooooooo, given the available expertise here, how about some suggestions? Please?

    Wow.

Check out The Last Word or permutations 'final speech', et al from a MixMo a while back.

The Widow's Kiss. The Emerald/Bijou/Jewel that Paul Clarke posted on St Patty's Day.

Heck, go to cocktaildb.com and search for chartreuse containing recipes.

Edit: It's really good in strong, French style, hot chocolate ('Chocolate Verte') and coffee ('Monk's Coffee').

Chartreuse is also my cocktail saver. If I have a creation thats off, I just add some chartreuse and it always seems to save it.
