The Oregon Bartenders Guild

In recent years craft bartending in Oregon has risen to new heights, thanks in part to a small group of dedicated individuals located around the state. The Oregon Bartenders Guild was formed in 2007 to help bring together like-minded bar professionals and amateur mixologists, and to help raise awareness of Oregon bartending within the state and around the world.

The Oregon Bartenders Guild

Our Mission

The mission of The Oregon Bartenders Guild is five-fold:

1. To establish a cogent & collaborative community of bartenders within the state of Oregon.

2. With this community, to increase the overall knowledge of beer, wine, spirits & cocktail production for the betterment of our craft.

3. To promote awareness of the craft within the public community, through both a developed relationship with the media & an educational platform to the general populace.

4. To secure a congenial relationship with OLCC, its agents & liquor companies to advance the procurement of more specialized & artisanal spirits in their portfolios.

5. To promote a wider, i.e., national & international, recognition of Oregon?s premier mixology.

As the gloom of Portland winter settles in upon us, what better way to cast it off than to cozy up to a piping hot cocktail? The Oregon Bartenders Guild hosts an evening of hot drinks with some of the state's finest craft bartenders. The event will plumb the mysteries of nostalgia hidden in a heated mug and transport us all to the hearth. A series of concoctions, from the historic to esoteric, from traditional to experimental, will be accompanied by sweet & savory desserts designed by Bluehour's chef de cuisine, Drew Lockett, as well as coffee by Caffé Umbria to pick you back up.
